Magician Rajeshwar Wupradrishta / Wuprisha (Magician Raj), born and brought up in Hyderabad city, Andhra Pradesh, is a Magician for over two decades. He is academically a Post Graduate in Management as well as in Computer Science. Magic as performed by Rajesh / Raj is not an esoteric craft removed from the hearts of people. He uses his skill to uplift emotions, bringing hope, cheer and happiness to his audience. He believes that the aim of magic is mainly to entertain people, and entertainment is inalienable to happiness. His own happiness comes from the 'bridge of oneness' he builds with his spectators. “Big smiles, Amazed looks. That’s no illusion, simply wonderful magic”

What makes a moment truly “magical”? For Magician Raj, it is a point in time when a person is transported, even if only for a fleeting moment, back to a place where the wonder and fantasy of childhood still exists, when anything and everything is possible! “When I perform, whether it be for audiences large or small, young or old, my goal is simple; to put a smile on each and every spectator’s face, a twinkle in their eye, and a memory of astonishment in their hearts and minds!”

Let’s hear about Raj’s journey into the wonderful world of magic and illusions in his own words. I was about twelve when I saw a magic show from a famous magician, Mr. Shadow (his stage name). I was mystified by how he could make the impossible possible, and make it look so amazingly simple. At the end of the show, he revealed a simple trick on the stage, and announced that magic was not spiritual, and neither did magicians have any super natural powers. I learnt that magic was an art coupled with a bit of science that could be mastered with extreme patience and practice.
At that moment, I decided that I would to become a magician. I started my practice, by keenly observing performing magicians, and watching their movements very carefully. I did not learn magic from anyone, I observed, tried, practiced and perfected. I performed my first stage show when I was fifteen and there was no looking back after that. I was awarded the title ‘Ekalavya’, as I did not have a teacher. Ekalavya is a prodigal archer in the Indian epic Mahabharatam. He became the best archer of his times by sheer practice and will power, as he could not afford to have a teacher.
Coming back to my story, I took a break from performing stage shows after a successful career spanning over a decade, with several shows, awards and recognitions, to concentrate on my studies and to have a traditional career. With the encouragement of my family and friends, I have reignited my passion with a new zeal and vigor. I currently reside in Mississauga (GTA), Ontario, Canada.

As mentioned before, Raj started performing stage shows professionally from the age of fifteen (his first professional stage show was in 1987). He is a stage magician, who for over two decades, has been performing at various events all over India, Maldives and now, in GTA, Ontario. He has performed at festivals, fairs, company picnics, and, of course, several stage-shows.

When you book a stage magician, you get a seasoned professional with a performing bio going back over several years. That means, you are entertained by an entertainer who understands his audience. Your guests, whatever their age, will go home with big smiles, amazed looks and happy memories. By engaging a professional with over twenty years of experience, you can be assured of an engaging and an intellectually stimulating entertainment for all types of family and business functions, such as birthday parties, sales meetings, conferences, product promotions, banquets and so on.

As the best magic entertainer in India, Magician Raj has enthralled kids and adults alike with his excellent magic for two decades. He has done shows for corporate companies, get-togethers, product promotions in Show Rooms, Star Hotels, Schools, Colleges, etc. He has done several shows in India and abroad.

He is the first magician from Andhra Pradesh to perform a whole stage show blind folded. He has bagged awards like State Youth Magician of Andhra Pradesh in 1991 conducted by Limca and Citra, Special Magician Prize in 1993 at Vizag Special Magician prize at State level magic competition at Amalapuram, and membership in the Andhra Pradesh Magic Association. He was recently cited as an Amazing Magician by Kannada Sangha, Toronto, Canada, in April 2010.

He participated in events like All India Magic Convention, earning the “Choo Mantar” title in 1996 and also in 1998 in Hyderabad, in which, over 400 magicians from all over India and abroad participated. He is a member of A.P. Magic Circle, who has rendered social service by performing a number of shows in rural India to educate the people about social evils like witchcraft and black magic. He has trained several youngsters, who are professional performers now.

He has conducted summer and winter magic camps for youth for their overall development and coordination enhancement with the Department of Culture and Department of Youth Services. He has used magic as a medium to help companies launch their new products. He was the first to use magic as a new medium of communication in Andhra Pradesh to popularize the products of Banks under the program, ‘reaching out to the villages’. He has performed a number of charity magic shows and blind fold rallies for Earthquake relief, flood relief and for fund raising events by clubs for social causes

She starts off wearing three outits, each made of extremely thin material. Each outfit is convertible, meaning it can be changed quickly. For example you can have a short white skirt that is actually a long colored white dress but is pulled up (folded in half) and the normal bottom is now part of the blouse. Each outfit gets converted 2 or 3 times then they send her behind a screen, or in a tube of material where she can make that outfit disappear. After all the outfits are used up they hold the dish full of confetti above her head and drop it (Notice the dish disappears). That is because the dish is another dress INSIDE OUT. When they drop it the confetti masks the view of her raising her arms into the dress and slipping it on over what she was already wearing. Notice at the end the bowl holding the confetti is gone and she has confetti inside the dress that she is trying to blow out just as she comes back into view.

Quick Change by Sven Schoppenhauer

The FIRST and ORIGINAL English books to contain material on magic costume changes ever published in the WORLD were written in 1911/1912 by Will Goldston. In 1911 he published "The Magicians Annual" and in 1912 in "Exclusive Magical Secrets" in witch 5 different Quick Change methods based on one tear away seam: The hook and eye fastener.

In the last century Quick Changes have been described in more than 10 English books and pamphlets. The German book "Quickchange" (published in 2003) was the most intensive publication to date and contained on 80 pages 5 different tried and tested methods of fastenings methods for holding the materials closed, and ways to open them, the so-called "tear-away seams. Well known Russian quick change artists termed one of the 5 methods of fastening as a "revolution".

For example: If you use press studs and Velcro, you have two methods of fastening. In the new english book "Quick Change" 15 different methods of fastening are described, the so-called "Top Secret High Tech" hardcores. There are: the hook and eye fastener the standard press studs/poppers fastener, the double press stud/poppers fastener, the hook and loop fastener, the magnet fastener, the simplest pull fastener, the pull with eyelets fastener, the tunnel pull fastener, the double pull fastener, the fish bone pull fastener, the crochet fastener, the tunnel crochet fastener, the incredible speed spring seam, the elastic speed thread and finally the "non plus ultra": the prepared zipper.

The user is trained in 22 sequences to accomplish costume changes. The combination of individual sequences results in very fast complete costume changes. In theory there are several hundred combination possibilities for Quick Change methods.

Finally a multiple costume change with six costumes from preparation and through the handling is presented with a series of 48 photos.

In addition this comprehensive book contains effects which employ different methods which can be used by magicians performing all genres of magic, even close-up: the Color Changing Tie, the Multiple Color Changing Bow Tie, the Color Changing Shirt, the Color Changing Sleeve and the Appearing Color Changing Dress Scarf.

Never before has there been such an extensive treatise on the subject.
